Advanced Materials: Engineering and Industrial Applications MSc The discovery, development and application of advanced materials is at the heart of engineering innovation. Informed by our close research collaborations with industry we are developing the next generation of talented materials scientists and engineers. With a fundamental interest in materials science, the MSc in Advanced Materials: Engineering and Industrial Applications course will develop your understanding of materials’ properties, selection, processing and advanced design procedures. This course equips students with the knowledge and skills to solve a wide range of engineering challenges. The progressive subject of additive manufacturing is introduced and investigated in the Advanced Materials Processing Technologies module. You'll develop advanced skills in building design and digital representation, as well as taking on an integrated design project and a thesis related to your own interests. A £19,070 cash bursary or fee waiver available to eligible students. Completing this course successfully will exempt you from the Part 2 Examination in Professional Practice from both the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
